Loading issues part resolved

Manual loading of funds is possible for the small subset of ringholders who were experiencing issues with loading funds on to their rings.
Auto top-up functionality should be fully restored from tomorrow morning, as we will be rolling out a fix overnight.

What happened?
The way in which loads are processed had not changed, but the way in which our suppliers interpreted some of the information sent to them did. It was this change in interpretation which caused some loads to fail. We are working closely with our upstream providers to fully understand why this change occurred and prevent any future issues.
Loading issues

A small subset of ringholders are currently experiencing issues with loading funds on to their rings.
If you are affected, you may find that you can load the ring using a different card, and/or by loading with less than £30

Card loading services back up
Tuesday 3rd November 2020
The card loading service is now back up and running with our new partners.
Please update to the latest version of the app from the Apple App Store/Google Play Store.
You will need to re-add your preferred method of payment to be able to continue loading money on to your ring.
You will also need to set up your auto top-up rules again.
Thank you for you patience whilst we resolved this issue.
System Downtime
Friday 30th October 2020
We are currently experiencing some unplanned downtime with our card loading services. This means that you will not be able to load any more funds on to your Ring either manually, or through the auto top-up feature.
You can still spend using the balance currently on your Ring, but will not be able to top up until the issue has been resolved.
We are working hard to have this service restored as soon as possible.

Saturday 27th June 2020
Following the suspension of Wirecard Card Solutions Limited by the FCA, McLEAR RingPay services are temporarily suspended. We are working with our partners to resume service as quickly as possible, we expect the disruption to last for a short amount of time.

Mobile app update required
Saturday 1st February 2020
The McLEAR RingPay mobile app for iOS and Android will require updating to the latest versions from Saturday 1st February 2020 in order to continue use, this is due to system upgrades. Anything older than the latest 1.67 versions of the app from this date will no longer be useable.

Mobile app downtime
Sunday 17th March 2019, 3am till 7am.
As we are a financial organisation, McLEAR and our third party suppliers are required to test disaster recovery scenarios. During this time there is the possibility of decreased user experience, as such we have decided to turn off access to our services between 3am and 7am on Sunday 17th.
During this time the app will not open and you will not be able to top-up your ring. Transactions will work as normal so you will still be able to spend on your ring however our auto top-up feature will be disabled during this time. Any transactions made during this time will be visible once you are able to login again.
